ABOUT GALLANGALLAN TIMELINECURRENT CAMPAIGNS |
Political Endorsement GALLAN endorses and actively campaigns for political candidates at the local, state and national level. In 2003, GALLAN endorsed and actively worked to elect pro-LGBT and pro-labor candidates Felix Arroyo and Chuck Turner for the Boston City Council and both were re-elected! In 2004, GALLAN-endorsed candidates won in every state-wide race in which we participated. GALLAN members worked hard on the campaigns of State Reps Carl Sciortino and Tom Stanley, State Senators Marion Walsh and Susan Fargo, and Sheriff Andrea Cabral. While we were not successful in our effort to defeat George W. Bush, our work in unions and ACT made a difference here in Massachusetts, as well New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Ohio. Callling, walking, check-writing, sign holding, door knocking...we did everything we could to try to defeat GWB. GALLAN Political Action Committee (PAC) In order to be more effective in our support of candidates and issues, GALLAN has formed a Political Action Committee (PAC). We can now contribute to progressive, pro-LGBT, pro-labor candidates as an identifiable group, and not just as individuals. If you want to contribute to our PAC, simply print out and complete our PAC contribution form, make out a check to GALLAN PAC and send them to:
